授業の特色

●NPO団体でインターンシップ経験を積む(Community Internship)
授業の一環としてNPO団体で50時間のボランティアインターンシップを行う。自身の興味に合わせたボランティア先を選ぶことができる。ビジネスの場面で英語力やコミュニケーション能力を高めることができ、ワークショップでは経験を発表する場も設けられる。

●アジアのビジネス交流の問題を解く(Communicating Across Asia)
グローバルな職場でのコミュニケーションで直面する、文化や道徳による考え方や行動の違いを理解する。仕事や観光、移民や政治、経済による国家間の対立、紛争について幅広く学び、グローバリゼーションについて考える。多くの国や地域について多国籍な環境で行うディスカッションは刺激的。

●オーストラリアの大学で通用する、専攻別の英語力を身につける(Language and Communication for business and commerce)
英語が第二言語である学生向けに開講。大学で各専攻を学ぶにあたって必要とされるアカデミック英語を身につける。レポートの書き方、プレゼンテーションの仕方、グループディスカッションの進め方などを学ぶ。

●マネジメント理論の基礎を知る(Management Concepts)
組織の構成、計画、管理などマネジメントの広範囲にわたる役割について学ぶ。チュートリアルでは異文化に触れながら、組織だけに限らず、管理者としての役割、社会における問題などをケーススタディを通じて学ぶ。

●国際ビジネスで求められる基礎知識を網羅(Introduction to International Business)
貿易、経済、マーケティング、会計、投資などの分野の基礎知識を、国際ビジネスという切り口で網羅する授業。マルチカルチャーな職場のマネジメントにも触れる。各分野を専門的に学ぶ前に全体像を把握したい学生に向いている。

●イベントマーケティングのノウハウを学ぶ(Event Marketing & Sponsorship)
なぜ人がイベントに集うかを分析し、イベントのマーケティングプランや販促企画を作成する。マーケティング、メディアの活用、イベントスポンサー募集、参加者の心理分析など、本格的なイベントマーケティングの手法を一通り学ぶことができる。

●マーケティングの観点でビジネスを捉える力を養う(Introduction to Marketing)
様々なビジネスが商品やサービスをどのように展開しているのかをマーケティングの観点から分析する。マーケティングの基本的なフレームワークを学んだ上で、自身でマーケティング計画書を作る授業。ケーススタディが多く取り入れられている。

●グローバル化するアジア経済を学ぶ(Globalisation Asia-Pacific & Australia)
アジアの政治経済、グローバリゼーションがオーストラリアに与える影響について学ぶ。チュートリアルのディスカッションやディベートで発言が必須。アジアに近く、関係も深いオーストラリアならではの焦点でアジアの関係を分析する。

●日本や社会や特有のポップカルチャーを知る(Japanese Society and Pop culture)
日本の歴史や古くから伝わる文化や制度について学ぶとともに、世界でも認められている日本のポップカルチャーについても理解を深める。外から見る日本を捉えることができる。

●アジア諸国のビジネスと政治をひも解く(Business and Politics in the Asia Pacific Region)
中国、日本、韓国、シンガポール、タイ、インドネシアなどを含む9ヵ国を中心に、アジア各国の政府とビジネスの関係を詳しく分析。

●オーストラリアの原住民を取り巻く現状を知る(First Peoples)
オーストラリアをはじめ世界各国の原住民が直面している課題や現状を歴史と共に理解する。オーストラリアの原住民がたどってきた歴史、コミュニティの成り立ち、言語保護、政治との関連などの観点から、現在の原住民の立ち位置について学ぶ。

●環境の持続可能性と社会経済のつながりを考える(Introduction to Environmental Sustainability)
地球環境の持続可能性に関する基礎的な概念を網羅する授業。自然環境、産業、都市環境の関係性を知り、人類が環境に与える影響について理解する。また、持続可能な地球環境の保全が環境だけでなく経済や社会の問題の解決につながることも学ぶ。

●観光地と旅行者の相互関係を捉える(People and Places in the Service Industries)
人がある場所を訪れた際に起こる、場所と人との関係性について理解するための授業。心理学、マーケティング、社会学、地理の概念を使って、顧客が観光地での経験をどう捉えるのかを学ぶ。環境やコミュニティに配慮しながら旅行者に良い経験を提供することでホテルや観光業を長期的に継続させるためのノウハウを学ぶ。

●観光と外食産業、ワイン産業の関連性を知る(Food and Wine Tourism)
外食・ワイン産業が観光にもたらすビジネスの影響を学ぶ。世界各地でフードやワインが観光の目的の1つとなりつつある昨今のトレンドや、そのマーケティグ手法、経済的側面の理解を深める。ワイン産業が成長するオーストラリアならではの授業。

●スポーツマネージメントを理解する(Sport Management Principles)
スポーツ業界特有のビジネス事業について理解を深める。プロスポーツだけでなく、団体の構成、マネジメント、プレーヤーと運営者の関係、イベントボランティアの管理など、スポーツ業界独特のビジネススタイルをケーススタディを通じて幅広く学ぶ。

●財務会計の読み解き方を知る (Management Accounting)
財務会計書の基礎的な使い方を学ぶ。財務会計書の読み方、比べ方、理解の仕方を一通り学ぶことができる。実際のビジネスの場面で会計書がどう使われているのかも丁寧にカバーされているため、実務レベルで使えるノウハウを身につけることができる。

●意思決定への経済学の役割を分析(Economics for Decision Making)
ミクロ経済、マクロ経済の幅広い経済のコンセプトを理解し、企業や政府機関が経済的要因をどのように分析し、決断を下すかをケーススタディを通じて学ぶ。マネジメントに役立つコンセプトでもあり、アカウンティング、ファイナンス、マーケティングなど様々なビジネスシーンで応用できる。

●ファッションのグローバル化(Global Fashion)
グローバルファッションに関連した概念である、持続可能な製造、途上国のエシカルファッション、輸送問題などを取り上げる。ファッションに関する法律や著作権などにも触れる。グローバル化が進む現在のファッション業界について、社会に与える影響や変化をケーススタディで学ぶ。

●映画を分析する「映画学」
入門(Introduction to Screen Analysis)
映画学の代表的なアプローチのひとつである映画のテキスト分析を学ぶ。時系列的な映画学ではなく、様々なスタイルを事例で紹介する。映画に関連する歴史的背景や評論について網羅するため、映画学の入門として人気がある。

●広告とクリエイティブ戦略について学ぶ(Advertising and Creative Strategies)
マーケティング成功の鍵を握る“マーケティング・コミュニケーション”の基礎を捉え、商品やサービスのクリエイティブ広告やプロモーション戦略を学ぶ。また、顧客認知を高めるためのターゲット分析や広告戦略の知識を深める。

●デジタルビデオとコンテンツ制作を学ぶ(Digital Video and Content Production)
デジタル制作で使われる制作の流れやソフトウェアの使い方を一通り網羅する授業。映画ポスターの制作と動画撮影とい2つの課題を通じて、撮影、編集、納品というデジタル制作の現場を体験できる。デジタルテクノロジーに興味のある学生のための実践的な入門編。

●スペイン語を英語軸で学ぶ(Spanish IA)
少人数のインタラクティブな授業構成で、第二外国語を学ぶ。特に英語と近いラテン系言語は、英語を軸に学ぶことで文法や単語の理解がしやすいメリットもある。
